KNVEX — PRIVACY POLICY

1. WHO WE ARE

KNVEX is a digital marketplace and discovery platform that helps users list, discover, contact, rent, hire, advertise, or otherwise connect regarding permitted equipment, machinery, tools, services, and related items.

KNVEX acts as a platform for users to interact with one another. Unless specifically stated otherwise, KNVEX does not own, manufacture, inspect, test, verify, guarantee, or control the user-generated listings posted on the Platform.

2. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through:

• the KNVEX mobile application;
• knvex.com;
• user registration and login;
• listings, photos, videos, messages, and uploads;
• search and location-based features;
• customer support and grievance communications;
• advertising and analytics tools;
• cookies, local storage, and similar technologies; and
• other services operated by or on behalf of KNVEX.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, apps, or services that may be linked from the Platform. Those services may have their own privacy policies.

KNVEX may request camera permission on your device.

Purpose of Camera Access

• take photos or videos directly from the app;
• create or update listings; let you capture media for your profile or listing;
• support other user-initiated features that require the camera.

How We Use Camera Access

• KNVEX accesses the camera only when you actively use a feature that requires camera input.
• KNVEX does not intend to run the camera in the background for ordinary browsing.
• If you deny camera permission, some features may not work properly.

5. PHOTOS, VIDEOS, FILES, AND STORAGE ACCESS

KNVEX may request access to your photos, videos, or files where needed for listing uploads.

Purpose of Media/File Access

• select and upload photographs or videos; attach files relevant to a listing;
• edit or replace uploaded media; and support user actions that require file selection.

Scope of Access

• KNVEX uses this access only to process the specific files or media you choose to upload.
• KNVEX does not intentionally scan your entire gallery or unrelated personal files.
• If you deny this permission, upload features may be limited or unavailable.

6. LOCATION ACCESS

Purpose of Location Access

• show nearby listings; calculate approximate distance;
• improve search relevance; sort or rank local results;
• help users find equipment or services in a selected area.

Scope of Location Access

KNVEX may use precise or approximate location depending on the feature and your settings. If location access is disabled, some location-dependent features may not work correctly.

• creating and managing user accounts;
• enabling listings and profile features;
• helping users search and discover;
• supporting marketplace functionality;
• maintaining security and preventing abuse;
• troubleshooting and debugging;
• improving the Platform;
• providing customer support;

• showing advertisements where applicable.

8. LEGAL BASES, NOTICE, AND CONSENT

Where required by applicable law, KNVEX will process personal data only after providing the required notice and obtaining valid consent. Consent will be specific, informed, clear, and capable of being withdrawn.

9. GOOGLE ADMOB AND THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING

KNVEX may use Google AdMob to display advertisements on the Platform.
